Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern your access to and use of drift across web and mobile apps. Our goal is simple: safe, reliable, college-specific ride sharing where students can find relevant rides, split fare fairly, and travel smarter together.

Last updated: 15 April 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using drift, you agree to these Terms and any applicable policies referenced here, including our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, you should not use the platform.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

drift is designed for college and university communities. You must provide accurate registration details and keep your account information current.

You are responsible for maintaining account security and for all actions taken under your account.

3. College-Specific Experience

drift is built to surface rides relevant to a user's university context. This helps improve trust and ride relevance by prioritizing matching within student communities.

Availability of features and visibility scopes may vary by region, launch phase, and product updates.

4. Platform Role and Ride Responsibility

drift provides software tools to help users discover, create, and manage ride sharing. We do not own, operate, or control vehicles and are not a transport carrier.

Users remain responsible for their own conduct, local law compliance, and safe travel decisions.

5. Location Features

Location data powers important safety and convenience features: more accurate matching, clearer route context, and timely ride coordination.

When enabled, location signals help us improve ride relevance and operational oversight. You can manage permission controls through your browser or device settings.

6. Bookings, Pricing, and Payments

Fare values shown on drift are informational and user-driven. Users should confirm key trip details (pickup, timing, price split, seat count) before travel.

Cancellations, no-shows, and disputes may affect account standing and feature access.

7. User Conduct Rules

You agree not to:

  • Provide false identity, college, or booking information
  • Harass, threaten, discriminate, or harm other users
  • Use drift for unlawful activity or unsafe transport behavior
  • Bypass platform controls, abuse support workflows, or manipulate ratings
  • Scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or misuse platform data and systems

8. Verification, Moderation, and Enforcement

To protect community trust, drift may verify profile attributes, review support cases, and moderate behavior.

We may issue warnings, limit features, temporarily suspend accounts, or permanently disable access for policy or safety violations.

9. Reviews, Ratings, and Content

You may submit feedback and content where permitted. You retain ownership of your content but grant drift a license to host, display, and process it for service operation and quality improvement.

Content that is abusive, misleading, or policy-violating may be removed.

10. Service Availability and Updates

We continuously improve the platform. Features may change, be added, or be retired over time. Temporary interruptions may occur for maintenance, upgrades, or external outages.

11. Liability and Disclaimers

drift is provided on an "as available" basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from user conduct, third-party actions, or events outside our control.

12. Termination

You may stop using drift at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations, safety concerns, fraud risk, or legal compliance reasons.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Contact

For legal or policy questions, contact us through the in-app support flow or official support channels published on website.
